In addition to government donations, private contributions are essential for achieving progress in scientific research.

Such funds are often available more quickly, and can provide scientists the flexibility and rapid reaction necessary to be able to use recently acquired knowledge and new techniques in order to remain at the leading edge in their research.

All too often, paraplegia is considered less important than the major illnesses affecting millions of people. However, for all those condemned by paraplegia to the wheelchair, research is the top priority. It offers them the possibility of a discovery that might improve their quality of life; it is the source of their hope of one day regaining the use of their limbs.

You too can help research in paraplegia to progress. Please contribute to IRP.
